  Wang Shuanglin was born in 1922 in Hujia Village, Xinjie Township, Longyang District, Baoshan City. Although his family was relatively poor, he was diligent in his studies since he was a child.

When the Anti-Japanese War broke out in 1937, the idea of ​​joining the fight against the enemy sprouted in the mind of Wang Shuanglin, who had just graduated from junior high school.

In 1938, he was admitted to the 16th and 18th corps of the Huangpu Military Academy. In the same year, he was promoted to the first phase of the Luofu Mortar Class of the Guangxi Southwest Branch of the Central Infantry School.

After graduating in July 1940, he was assigned to Tongcheng, the 11th Division of the 58th Army in Hubei, where he served as an adjutant in the picket team of the headquarters. In 1942, he was transferred to the 18th Division of the 93rd Army as the company commander of the mortar battalion. Over the fight against bandits, guarding the Sino-Vietnamese border and resisting Japanese aggressors.

After Japan surrendered in 1945, he entered Vietnam to accept the Japanese surrender.

  "The most unforgettable moment is the moment when the Japanese army surrendered in Vietnam." Wang Shuanglin said before his death that the troops crossed the Red River and entered the Vietnamese border after finishing their preparations.

"When I saw the Japanese driver driving a truck to greet him, I ordered the platoons to mount their guns on the truck. The officers and soldiers were fully armed and stood on the truck in high spirits and watched the distance. After the troops entered Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, they were warmly welcomed by the citizens. There will be loud applause every time you walk through the street."

  After the peaceful liberation of Yunnan, Wang Shuanglin returned to his hometown in Xinjie, Longyang District, Baoshan City, and worked as a primary school teacher until he retired in 1983. He has been teaching for 33 years.

When he retired and returned to his hometown to live in the old age, some people even called him Camp Commander Wang.
