Jordan: One dead and 21 years of hard labor due to a dispute over 20 dinars


A Jordanian citizen killed another by dropping a "cement brick" on his head;

Because he asked him to return 20 dinars to him, which was his debt.

In the details, the victim went to the building in which the accused lives, but he did not find him in his residence, so he called him by phone, and demanded that he recover the 20 dinars (about 28 dollars).

When the accused returned to his home five minutes after the call ended, he found the victim in front of his house, and they clashed with hands, then the accused fled to the roof of the third floor of the building in which he lives.


The accused carried a "cement brick" and dropped it from the roof towards the victim at the bottom of the building, hitting him in the head.

According to the Jordanian "Saraya" news website, the victim was transferred to the hospital, and he remained in the intensive care room for 4 days until he died.

The High Criminal Court criminalized the accused of premeditated murder, and sentenced him to 21 years of temporary labor.
