On the 29th, at the Ministry of Defense, Air Self-Defense Force Chief of Staff Izutsu and Luftwaffe Chief General Gerhardt jointly held a press conference.

In this, Chief of Air Staff Izutsu said, "I welcome this dispatch as it shows Germany's stance toward unwavering engagement in the Indo-Pacific region. Together with the Luftwaffe, we will actively contribute to the peace and stability of the region. I want to," he said.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the German military is considering participating in a multilateral joint exercise to be held in Australia next year, and there is also a plan to dispatch naval vessels to the Indo-Pacific region from next fiscal year.
