Arcom asks TV channels to do more to start their prime time programs on time.

The Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority receives many complaints from viewers.

In his sights: TMC with the program "Daily" which makes the antenna six minutes late but also C8 whose delay has increased in 2022.

Viewers can no longer put up with delays on TV channels.

There are therefore many to complain to the Arcom.

The latter had calculated, a year ago, the average delay in September.

And the results were overwhelming: more than seven minutes for TF1 and TMC, and almost six minutes for M6 and CStar, but also almost five minutes for RMC Découverte and France 3.

Efforts by M6 and TF1

Arcom therefore continued to make its small calculations in the first half of 2022, and has just communicated the results.

Of the 18 channels studied, the vast majority have reduced their delay.

France 3, for example, now always starts on time.

M6 is also making great efforts by going from six to about two minutes late.

TF1 also went from seven minutes to just under four minutes.

The chain can therefore do better.

But, five channels continue to be more than five minutes late.

And the worst performer of 2022 is TMC.

Daily

is still on the air more than six minutes late, although it should be noted that this is less than last year.

C8, on the other hand, is increasing its delay by two minutes compared to 2021. Its evening programs now start on average almost six minutes later than the announced time.

It's pretty much like TMC.

Because at that time, it's the war of hearings between

on C8 and

 Daily

on TMC.

Except that these delays and especially the late start of the bonuses pissed off some viewers.

A few years ago, the bonuses started around 8:50-8:55 p.m.

Now on some channels, it is announced for 9:10 p.m. and with the delay, you sometimes have to wait until 9:15 p.m.

Schedules too late according to some viewers.

Arcom therefore specifies that it "will approach the publishers to discuss this subject with them".
