But, Soraya, 53, actually scammed him.

, she stole no less than 398,000 euros from him.
Her trial took place on Monday and she was sentenced by the Paris court to an 18-month suspended prison sentence for breach of trust and money laundering.
Checks and transfers with the personal fortune of the singer
The facts took place between 2013 and 2019. Soraya, who managed Michel Jonasz's accounts, simply signed checks and sent transfers with the singer's personal fortune, reports
Le Parisien.
And, it is with this money that she offered herself vacations in New York, Prague, or even Malta.
Another assistant would have denounced Soraya
Soraya would have herself alerted Michel Jonasz of her scam.
“I could no longer live with this weight on my conscience”, assured during the investigation.
The singer, who was not aware of the extent of the diversion, would have been "understanding".
But, it would seem that it was another assistant of Michel Jonasz who denounced her after having spotted accounting errors.
Soraya will have to return the total sum, at the risk of seeing her reprieve revoked in the event of non-payment.
