NASA successfully crashed into an asteroid in an attempt to deflect it

NASA replayed the movie

Armageddon

tonight .

After a 10-month journey, the DART mission craft successfully impacted the small asteroid Dimorphos at 4:14 p.m. (1:14 a.m. Paris time).

It remains to be determined, in the coming days, if the impact has succeeded in deflecting this pebble 160 m in diameter.

The latter, which does not threaten the Earth, had been chosen by the American space agency for this test mission which should allow humanity to learn how to protect itself from potential future danger.

Disputed state funeral for Shinzo Abe

It is an event that is really far from unanimous.

Since 2 p.m. on Tuesday (7 a.m. in Paris), Japan has started a national funeral in Tokyo for the assassinated former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

Problem: his organization has sparked intense controversy and protests in recent weeks.

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's swift and unilateral decision to hold a state funeral has outraged the opposition, who believe it should have been debated and approved in parliament.

The estimated cost of the ceremony, equivalent to 12 million euros, also irritated.

Thus, according to the latest polls, about 60% of the Japanese are opposed to this event which Nicolas Sarkozy will notably attend, on behalf of France.

The trial of the drama of Millas continues without the driver, hospitalized

The trial of the Millas drama will continue, but without the only defendant who is in the hospital.

Friday, according to the statements of his lawyers, Nadine Oliveira was indeed the victim of a “heart attack”.

The driver of the school bus involved in the terrible accident on a level crossing which claimed the lives of six schoolchildren collapsed the day before in full hearing.

When the fifth day of this extraordinary trial opens, the fifty-year-old is therefore not in the dock.

But the president of the Marseille criminal court finally decided: the debates will continue without the defendant, suggesting a completely different trial.
