Suspicion has been raised that actor Kwak Do-won (Kwak Byung-gyu, 49), who was caught on suspicion of drunk driving, caused various scandals, such as assaulting a film crew at a drinking party in the past.

According to YouTuber Lee Jin-ho's broadcast on the 26th, Kwak Do-won had an opinion with the staff at a dinner party for the 2020 movie 'Firefighter', which led to an assault case.

Lee Jin-ho said, "At the time, director Kwak Kyung-taek actively took action and the case was settled. After the incident, Kwak Do-won wrote a memorandum about causing a scandal with alcohol and delivered it to the production company. " he claimed.

In addition, Kwak Do-won gave a big admonition at another filming set, saying that he did not like the acting of a junior actor, and even overturned the table with abusive language, Lee Jin-ho added.

He claimed that he eventually found out the phone number of the family of a junior who wasn't even drinking, and caused a stir by calling them at dawn.

Earlier, Kwak Do-won was caught drinking alcohol around 5 am on the 25th and driving his SUV (sports utility) vehicle from Geumneung-ri to Aewol-eup, Hallim-eup, Jeju City.

As a result of a breathalyzer test, it is known that Kwak Do-won's blood alcohol level is well above the license revocation value (0.08%).

Kwak Do-won appeared in a public service advertisement for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) in September last year.

Due to this drunk driving incident, public service advertisements featuring Kwak Do-won are no longer available.

In response, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism decided that Kwak Do-won had violated the 'duty to maintain dignity' in the contract and decided to return the entire performance fee.
