There is no doubt that we know at least one or some people who are successful in their work, and who have reached leadership positions and perhaps in a short time. Of course, there are many reasons for success and career advancement, as well as many reasons for the success of companies and business institutions as well, but one of those reasons is “implementation”, It is carrying out the implementation of plans and strategies as they should, avoiding laziness and making excuses, and constantly searching for solutions to overcome the obstacles to implementation that we are going through, both individuals and institutions, and no company can fulfill its obligations or adapt well to change unless all workers and leaders practice those The company's implementation system at all levels.

Implementation must be part of the company's strategy and objectives. In most cases where the strategy fails, we find that negligence and lax implementation is the missing link between the objectives and the results.

Thus, implementation should be the main task and first function of leaders and managers.

What if we don't master the art of execution?

Unfortunately, there will still be great efforts in the wrong direction, and it will not lead to the desired results.

The skill and mastery of the art or technique of “executing” has become among the essential skills of successful leaders and individuals, to the extent that the National Association of Corporate Directors in the United States of America has added it to the list of elements that managers need to focus on in evaluating their performance, as the association believes that managers should To ask themselves how well the implementation is, and what explains any gap between expectations and management performance?

But for all the talk about implementation hardly anyone knows exactly what it is, managers think they know what it is, and there is often consensus that it is about getting things done.

The book "Execution" by the authors "Larry Bossidy" and "Ram Charan" indicates that understanding implementation is linked to three principles that must be taken into account, namely that implementation is a system and an integral part of strategy, it is the main function of a business leader or effective manager, and it must be Implementation is an essential element of the organization and is linked to the institutional culture.

The executive procedures are part of the implementation process, but implementation is not just a procedure but rather a strategic matter. Implementation is a systematic process that nourishes diligent work and continuous follow-up. For the success of implementation, clear standards of performance must be set and performance is linked to a system of appreciation for efforts, incentives and accountability at the same time.

It is also necessary to understand the work environment surrounding the institution, as well as to understand the internal capabilities, evaluate the capabilities of the institution as a whole, link the strategy to the processes and people who will implement that strategy, ensure that these people have different specializations and skills, and raise the level of the capabilities of the institution and employees to meet ambitious strategic challenges.

The main reason why many were unable to implement is the lack of realism and lack of understanding of real capabilities before committing to big goals, and this was what characterized Jack Welch’s style of management, his strength and frankness, and he succeeded in imposing realism on all General Electric departments, which made it a model for a culture of implementation .

• Implementation is a systematic process that nurtures diligent work and continuous follow-up. For the success of implementation, clear standards of performance must be set.
