In July last year, Fuyuo Kurakake (5 years old at the time) died of heatstroke after being left in the bus for nearly nine hours under the scorching sun at Futaba Nursery School in Nakama City, Fukuoka Prefecture. Yoko Urakami, 45, the director of the car and Noriko Toba, 59, the nursery teacher who was driving the car, have been charged with professional negligence resulting in death.

On the 26th, the first trial was held at the Fukuoka District Court, and the two said, "There is no doubt," and admitted the content of the indictment.

In his opening statement, the prosecution stated that he knew that if the child was left in the car while the outdoor temperature was over 30 degrees Celsius for a long time, he would suffer a heatstroke, and said, "We will confirm that all the children who got in the car got off. I neglected to do it when I needed to," he said.
