China News Service, Liuzhou, September 25th (Liu Juncong) "The use of intelligent network technology in the automotive industry can reduce the traffic accident rate to the current 1%." On the 25th, Li Keqiang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and professor of the School of Vehicles and Transportation of Tsinghua University Introduced in a video presentation.

On the same day, the 2022 China-ASEAN Automotive Industry Digitalization Sub-Forum and Liuzhou Internet of Vehicles Industry Conference were held in Liuzhou, Guangxi.

The conference invited a number of experts and scholars to exchange and discuss the development of China's intelligent networked vehicles.

As the chief scientist of China National Intelligent and Connected Vehicle Innovation Center, Academician Li Keqiang's speech at the meeting was particularly interesting.

Conventional vehicles are mechatronics products, while intelligent networked vehicles are mechatronics products, requiring cross-border integration of multiple industries such as automobiles, transportation facilities, and information and communication infrastructure (including 4G\5G, maps and positioning, and data platforms). .

The application of intelligent network technology in automobiles will lead to changes in the transportation system and ecosystem.

Academician Li Keqiang introduced that intelligent networked vehicles can reduce the traffic accident rate to the current 1% and improve road traffic efficiency by 10%. Driving in formation on the highway can reduce fuel consumption by 10% to 15%.

At present, the development of China's intelligent networked vehicles has risen to the national strategic level, and the development orientation has shifted from an important part of the concept of the Internet of Vehicles to intelligent integrated industries such as intelligent manufacturing and intelligent network connection.

In February 2020, 11 ministries and commissions including the National Development and Reform Commission jointly released the "Intelligent Vehicle Innovation and Development Strategy" to form a top-level design plan.

Today, there are more than 120 companies in China's ICV industry that are engaged in product development for related tracks.

In 2021, China's intelligent networked vehicle shipments will reach 13.7 million units, and it is expected that China's intelligent networked system assembly rate will reach 53.3% this year.

Intelligent network technology has received extensive attention from countries all over the world.

Academician Li Keqiang believes that China needs to create a plan for the innovative development of intelligent networked vehicles according to its own national conditions.

A Chinese solution for ICVs should meet three conditions.

First of all, it should comply with China's road infrastructure standards, map data standards, V2X communication standards, traffic regulations, etc.

Secondly, it needs to meet the relevant standards of intelligent networked vehicle access, network operation supervision, information security and data governance required by China.

Finally, it meets the Chinese standards for new architecture automotive product standards such as intelligent terminals, communication systems, cloud platforms, gateways, and driving systems.

"The future development direction of China's intelligent networked vehicles will be to build an ecosystem of vehicle-road-cloud integration and intelligent transportation in-depth integration, and to integrate intelligent vehicles, mobility and social life service elements." Academician Li Keqiang said.
