Shiga Prefecture announced on the 25th that 664 new people in the prefecture were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
Compared to the same day last week, there are about 230 fewer people, and the number has been below 1,000 for three consecutive days.
Two women, both in their 90s and older, were also confirmed dead.
With this, the total number of people who died in Shiga Prefecture has reached 314.
