We have now integrated the four elements of "ancient", "present", "in" and "outside".

We have the ancient Hong Kong Palace Museum (Cultural) Museum, as well as the Xiqu Center; the contemporary we have the M+ Museum; at the same time, we also have the Freespace (Free Space) performance venue, which is mainly designed for young people.

In the future, if we (Hong Kong) can reach the center of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries, the West Kowloon Cultural District must be a very important leader.

[Explanation] Recently, Tang Yingnian, member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the board of directors of the Hong Kong West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, said in an exclusive interview with China News Agency that the "14th Five-Year Plan" clearly supports the development of a Chinese-foreign cultural and art exchange center in Hong Kong.

With the successive completion of different cultural infrastructure projects in Hong Kong in recent years, the West Kowloon Cultural District, which has been developing for more than ten years, will become a leader in cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries in Hong Kong.

I am confident that the West Kowloon Cultural District will play a pivotal role in promoting the goal of a Sino-foreign cultural exchange center.

We have a group of very excellent professionals, whether in the Forbidden City, many of us are curators and administrators at the doctoral level.

At the same time, we also have some world-class curatorial and exhibition talents.

All our subways and public transports use the West Kowloon as a hub, and we have sufficient resources in terms of transportation, software and talents.

[Explanation] Thanks to the investment of hardware and software, transportation, talents and other resources, Hong Kong's cultural industry is still going against the tide under the impact of the epidemic. The global art market share has surpassed that of New York and London, and it has become the second largest contemporary art auction in the world. market.

Tang Yingnian believes that in the future, Hong Kong's cultural field should take into account both the mainland and the international market, and become a gateway and bridge for communication between China and foreign countries.

The first stage is to expand the integration of the entire Greater Bay Area. I think this is the fastest and most achievable stage goal.

There are many art galleries and performance venues in the Greater Bay Area. I believe that this force must be richer, larger, and more audience than other countries in Europe.

Not only must we be able to tell Chinese stories well, but also Western culture can be introduced through Hong Kong as an exchange center.

Let our 1.4 billion compatriots be more aware of some Western cultures, so as to better communicate and learn from each other.

[Explanation] In response to the newly established Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government from July 1 this year, Tang Yingnian said that the establishment of this department was timely and necessary.

He pointed out that Hong Kong cultural institutions must make better use of their own advantages and resources to play an active role in social and economic fields.

I think the Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism is necessary, and also has a timing, and the time for its establishment is just right.

Now that we have been given this goal in the "14th Five-Year Plan", we have this need and a sense of urgency in terms of time.

Compared with housing, medical care, social welfare, education (categories), culture, sports and tourism are not easy to fight for people's livelihood resources, so I think our three categories of personnel, such as our West Kowloon Cultural District, We must be able to make better use of our own resources, our own capabilities, and financially to exert greater energy. I think it is a socially responsible approach.
