[Explanation] Recently, a joint interview group of Chinese and foreign media in Lancang-Mekong water resources cooperation of "Drinking the same river water" went to the Huaneng Nuozhadu Hydropower Station in Pu'er City, Yunnan Province to learn more about the cascade development and utilization of the middle and lower reaches of the Lancang River, and to feel the "green" The unique charm of hydropower.
[Explanation] According to reports, Huaneng Nuozhadu Power Station is the fifth-level power station in the cascade planning of "two reservoirs and eight levels" in the middle and lower reaches of the Lancang River. It is the largest project in terms of scale and single investment in Yunnan Province, and it is also the largest power station of Huaneng Group. It saves 9.56 million tons of standard coal and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 18.77 million tons every year.
The construction of the dam also set several records.

The five world firsts are mainly our digital dam technology, the four data items of a flood discharge power of our spillway, the flow rate and the flow of the flood discharge, and our five digital dam technologies, which are called our world first.
During the construction of our dam, we adopted a digital dam technology, which is all-round and full-time monitoring. The construction process of our core rockfill dam enables the construction to continue to advance.
[Explanation] When the Nuozhadu Hydropower Station began to prepare for construction in 2004, it has always adhered to the concept of "ecological priority and green development", coordinating the development of hydropower and the coordinated development of the immigrant masses, the ecological environment, and the local economy and society.

The first unit to generate electricity started on September 6, 2012.
Up to now, our power station has successfully operated safely and stably for 10 years. So far, our total power generation is close to 210 billion kWh.
As an enterprise through our power generation, it not only fulfills the social responsibility of a central enterprise, but also greatly drives the local economic and social development.
[Explanation] The word "Nozhadu" means "the place where heroes cross the river" in the language of the Lahu people.
Lancang County, where the power station is located, is also the only single Lahu autonomous county in China.
Nuozhadu Hydropower Station is also fully fulfilling the social responsibility concept of "building a power station, driving the economy of one side, protecting the environment, benefiting the people of one side, and building harmony on the other side."

In the past few years, we have invested a total of 1.35 billion yuan to help Lancang County get rid of poverty, and successfully achieved our goal of targeted poverty alleviation.
At present, we are carrying out the work of rural revitalization in accordance with the requirements of the state to ensure that the living standards of local residents can reach a new level.
[Explanation] At present, Huaneng Lancang River Company implements "remote centralized control and unified operation" for the power stations in the Lancang River Basin, giving full play to the advantages of the centralized control operation of cascade hydropower stations and joint dispatching of reservoirs, and greatly improving the power ratio of cascade hydropower stations during dry and flood seasons.
It can reduce more than 20 billion kWh of abandoned water and electricity in the entire network every year, greatly improving the power structure of Yunnan and southern regions.
[Explanation] In addition, the joint dispatch has greatly increased the flow of the downstream river in the dry period, and the "golden waterway" of the Lancang River-Mekong River has been opened to navigation throughout the year, which has promoted the development of shipping and trade in downstream countries.
