What really happened to Ezra Miller?

The actor went in a few months from Hollywood darling to the news page, having been involved in a multitude of scandals, against a backdrop of arrests, assaults and even stories of kidnapping.

This is the question that Vanity Fair tried to answer, in a long investigation, while the star of

decided to get help.

It all started in 2019 with a meeting.

Visibly deeply unsettled by his parents' divorce, Ezra Miller met a guru of sorts known as Jasper Young Bear.

Hired as a "personal assistant and spiritual advisor", the Native American followed the star, who identifies as non-binary and uses the pronouns iel, in all his travels, and in particular during a trip to Iceland in 2020 where everything slipped.

The Messiah

“Jasper was telling Ezra that he was not part of the movement, but that he himself was the movement, that he was the next messiah and that the Freemasons were sending demons to kill him,” revealed a source close to the magazine.

Taking himself then for the Messiah, the actor felt he had to be “with the people”, which meant “partying”, reveals another informant.

“In Iceland, he was going out non-stop.

His favorite thing was the raves, and he had drinking parties that lasted two or three days in a row”.

The comedian's behavior started to get really disturbing shortly before his first arrests.

Indeed, the star would have tried to “recruit” “teenagers”.

"He was telling these kids, 'You're going to be in my band, I'm going to produce your album, and you're going to run my recording studio.'

It didn't matter if it was visual artists, DJs, college students or even sometimes kids who might be on the street, he tried to recruit them when they were in a vulnerable period, and he promised them all those things,” this third source revealed.

In addition to having been arrested several times for assault and harassment, Ezra Miller has also been the subject of a restraining order concerning a young girl now 18 years old named Tokata Iron Eyes.

According to the parents of the latter, the Hollywood actor would have manipulated and drugged her for years when she was still a minor.

It remains to be seen whether

will be released in June 2023 and whether Ezra Miller will be able to promote it.

Last month, the artist apologized for his behavior and announced that he wanted to treat his “complex mental health problems”.
