China News Service, Sanya, September 22 (Reporter Wang Xiaobin) After more than a month of shutdown due to the epidemic, scenic spots, hotels, and duty-free shops have resumed business one after another, and the tourism industry in Sanya, Hainan Province has once again embarked on the road of recovery.

Sanya is a well-known tropical coastal tourist city in China.

For more than two years, due to the impact of the new crown epidemic, local tourist attractions, duty-free shopping places and other tourism-related businesses have been closed several times.

In this round of epidemic, after the 40-day temporary global static management was lifted, Sanya hotels, duty-free shops and scenic spots opened in an orderly manner.

On September 20, Sanya City opened the flow of people and vehicles across districts, and the hotel ushered in a wave of resumption of work.

According to data from online travel platform Ctrip, nearly 1,300 hotels in Sanya reopened on the 21st, accounting for 70% of the total number of hotels in Sanya.

On the morning of the 21st, CDFG Sanya International Duty Free City resumed business. So far, all 4 outlying island duty-free shops in Sanya have resumed business.

In terms of scenic spots, the Sanya Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports Bureau issued a notice on the 21st saying that from now on, after the implementation of epidemic prevention and control measures in all tourist attractions in the city, they will resume business in an orderly manner after reporting, inspection and other procedures.

In order to promote the recovery of the tourism market, Hainan officials have recently proposed a series of plans to attract people into the island for tourism consumption.

For example, during the National Day, small passenger cars with licenses from other provinces can cross the sea for free; an additional 50 million yuan of tourism consumption coupons are arranged for tourists from outside the province, focusing on supporting consumption scenarios such as hotel check-in and scenic spot tickets; the main entities of duty-free operation in outlying islands are organized to launch theme activities, which are organized in major tourist sources. The city conducts duty-free shopping promotions and continues to issue outlying island duty-free consumption coupons.
