A new step in his career.

The actor and comedian Alain Chabat will soon host a daily program on TF1, broadcast in the second part of the evening, on the model of the American "late shows".

Friday, September 16, Alain Chabat unveiled a very fun teaser to announce the upcoming arrival of this new show presented by him on TF1.

In this humorous video, the actor imitates the new king of England by parodying the famous scene in which Charles III gets angry with a pen.

Alain Chabat has therefore visibly succeeded in convincing TF1 to realize his dream.

In an old interview with

GQ

magazine dating from 2020, the actor revealed "regularly tanning TF1" to launch a late-show.

A program he describes as follows: "I love the idea of the white clown and this very chic place where you receive very glam people, where nothing exceeds but where everything can overflow from one moment to the next. other".

"For a year, you have no more life!"

He also recognized the difficulties of launching such a program: "The programs never end at the same time. It's difficult to set up a meeting at a fixed time under these conditions. And it's less fun in the weekly, it's only really of interest on a daily basis".

He has obviously been heard since his late-show will be broadcast every day.

"It's a priesthood, you have to know that. For a year, you sign with your blood and you have no more life!, he added, lucid, in his interview.

TF1 is making a real bet with the launch of this daily in the second half of the evening, with no doubt a lot of resources.

Because it is hard to imagine Alain Chabat signing without a substantial budget for the production of the show.

TF1 had already tried to launch late-shows in the past, but not on a daily basis.

The last late-show of the channel dates from 2013. It was

Tonight with Arthur.

The show was stopped after a few weeks, for lack of satisfactory audiences.
