Lebanon .. The storming of banks raises controversy on "Twitter"... and tweets describe it as a "fireball"

The incidents of storming banks in Lebanon sparked widespread controversy on social media over the past few days, and the Lebanese people's stances on them were divided between critics and skeptics, and supporters.

Tweeters on the social networking site "Twitter" launched the hashtag #Banks_Lebanon, through which they expressed their opinion about the recent bank storming incidents in Lebanon, denouncing what is happening in their country, amid calls for political and economic reforms to get out of the successive crises.

The tweeters were divided in their positions between criticizing and skeptical of the storming operations, and supporting them as a right of depositors who demand their money, especially in light of the economic crisis that the country is aware of.

Tweeters questioned the storming of banks, noting that their occurrence at this time was not innocent, and behind them lies goals that will be revealed later. One of the tweeters said: "In Lebanon, the issue of storming banks at this time is not innocent... The days will reveal the goal behind it...".

Another said: "The attack of depositors took place in more than one place, and this indicates that it is not a spontaneous matter .. despite the pain of depositors, as people stormed a bank in almost every region, and therefore these incidents are serious and studied, and there are those who are pressing in this direction."

For their part, tweeters expressed their rejection of such actions, which occur through armed force and violence, because of the chaos and destruction that result from them, noting that it is not the best way to restore rights. Rights, reminds us of a dark period in human history... This kind of work makes the law of the jungle the prevailing law, and this is wrong... God protects from the greatest.

Another said: "The wave of depositors storming banks, raises terror and fear, especially as it is carried out through violence, intimidation and the use of weapons. We must all stand against these actions regardless of the eligibility of the depositors' demands."

In a related context, tweeters expressed their sympathy with the depositors, noting that they have the right to do what they want to recover their money, or part of it, and one of them said: "We cannot blame depositors for storming banks... Injustice and poverty will only generate more efforts to establish the right through individual initiatives. or coordinator.

Another said: "The people who stormed the banks in Lebanon are brave people who did what many of us could not do... In the face of injustice and hunger, everything is justified."

For their part, tweeters described the series of storming banks as a “fireball” that is growing day by day, amid fears that it will reach the point of losing control of it, and one of the tweets said: “The wave of storming banks is growing like a fireball … There is no doubt that it is likely to continue with greater momentum in the weeks and months.” In the coming years, the banking situation remains unchanged, with deposits held indefinitely.

While some of the tweeters proposed solutions to this crisis, and avoided potential chaos, including the "fair division of losses," one of them said: "In Lebanon, to avoid any potential chaos, a fair division of losses is inevitable and not to burden depositors in particular and citizens in general with all the burdens... Therefore, security measures are tightened. Not the solution..."

Another said: "The solution is with the authority... it must make a decision... the banks must be obligated to return the rights to depositors without risking their lives and the lives of others."

It is noteworthy that the storming of a number of Lebanese banks and the holding of hostages in them, at last, created a new crisis in the country in light of the recurrence of the storming scene over the past days on the one hand, and the banks’ insistence on imposing restrictions on depositors withdrawing their money on the other hand, in addition to the authorities’ failure to approve a plan recovery announced before.
