Iwate Prefecture announced on the 17th that 467 new people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
It was 231 fewer than the previous Saturday, marking the 12th consecutive day of declines compared to the previous week.
The total number of infected people in the prefecture reached 103,466.
