BLACKPINK's 2nd full-length album 'BORN PINK' sold more than 1 million copies on the day of its release for the first time as a girl group.
According to the music industry, this album sold over 1011,000 copies on the Hanteo Chart the day before the release date.
This is the first time in the history of a K-pop girl group that sales exceeded 1 million copies on the first day based on the Hanteo Chart.
The number of 1,110,000 copies is 1.7 times higher than the 589,000 copies sold on the first day of Blackpink's previous work 'The Album'.
Blackpink surpassed 2 million copies in pre-orders even before its release.
'Born Pink' posted two songs in the top 5 on Melon's 'Top 100' chart, the largest music site in Korea, including 'Pink Venom' at 2nd and 'Shut Down' at 4th.
