Akita Prefecture and Akita City announced on the 15th that 681 new people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 93,137 people have been confirmed to be infected in Akita Prefecture.
The prefecture also newly announced that one person died after being infected with the new coronavirus.
With this, 199 people have died from confirmed infections in the prefecture.
