Yesterday evening, Wednesday, one of the guards of Queen Elizabeth's coffin, which was placed on a platform known as the Catafalque inside the "Westminster Abbey" hall in London, was overwhelmed by fatigue and exhaustion. It was decided to bury her next Monday.

Those lining up were stunned when they saw the guard who was standing like a wax statue, swinging on his feet seconds before his collapse, as he descended for a while from where he was near the platform, and when he upgraded his position and regained his place while other guards joined in to change, he fell unconscious and lay on the floor stone, as shown in the video.

Some of the crowd on both sides shouted to draw attention to him, and then two policemen rushed to help him get up.

However, those who look at the photographed scene, will find that no one went to the guard when he started swinging and at risk of falling at any moment, to rush to replace him with another member of the guard, but was clearly neglected, until fatigue overcame him and dropped him to the ground.

As for guarding the Queen’s coffin, it continues non-stop around the clock by members of a special unit guard, affiliated with the name Sovereign’s Bodyguard to a larger unit, and according to “Al Arabiya.net”, its main task is to guard members of the royal family, royal palaces and castles, which is the Yeoman Warders unit. She is entrusted in particular with guarding the Tower of London, whose castle includes the royal jewels, the most important of which is the British Royal Crown.
