There were 12,655 criminal suspects, 5.19 tons of various types of drugs were seized, and 38,000 drug addicts were investigated and dealt with, further consolidating and expanding the good situation of drug control in China.
On the same day, the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference in Beijing to report the effectiveness of the measures taken by public security organs across the country to crack down on various drug-related illegal and criminal activities.
Liang Yun said at the meeting that since the launch of the "Hundred Days Action" by the national public security organs to crack down on rectification in summer, the anti-drug departments at all levels have combined with the "clearing the source and cutting off the flow" action, forming a severe offensive and high-pressure situation to crack down on drug-related crimes.
According to reports, the public security organs insisted on putting equal emphasis on cracking down on zero-package drug trafficking and destroying drug-trafficking gangs, and took various forms such as unified collection of network clusters, listing and supervising the handling of cases, and destroyed 556 drug-producing and trafficking gangs; commanded Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Henan, Shandong, Hunan, Guangdong, Sichuan, Shaanxi and other ten provinces have successively launched two waves of cluster campaigns against 21 ministerial-level drug target cases, arrested 2,313 drug addicts and traffickers, and seized 568.9 kilograms of various drugs.
In terms of blocking the penetration of drugs, the public security organs insisted on blocking the entry of drugs as a fundamental solution to reduce the source of drugs, continued to deepen the "clean border" operation, strengthened border management, and built a "copper wall" against foreign drug penetration.
Yunnan has played the role of the first barrier and the first main force, relying on the three-dimensional intelligent prevention and control system at the border, combined with the border epidemic prevention and control, and strict drug investigation network, and seized 1.85 tons of drugs.
Guangxi blocked the Sino-Vietnamese border drug smuggling channel and cracked 9 major cases of over kilograms.
In response to drug lords and drug dealers who are hiding abroad and are on the run, the Ministry of Public Security has promoted "pulling the nails to chase the fleeing", organized elite troops and carried out law enforcement cooperation with relevant national anti-narcotics departments, and arrested 15 drug-related "nails" fugitives.
Liang Yun said that the public security organs insisted on preventing the rebound of domestic drug production problems as an important task, carried out in-depth "de-icing and anti-drug", cracked down on drug production crimes throughout the chain, resolutely curbed the resurgence of domestic large-scale drug production activities, and cracked a total of 14 drug production cases. Since then, 447 kilograms of meth, ketamine, cathinone, caffeine and other drugs have been seized.
Jiangsu and Cambodian police successfully destroyed a large drug-making factory in Cambodia, seized 1.8 tons of hydroxyimide and 170 tons of drug-making materials.
