The reporter learned from the Ministry of Public Security on the 12th that the public security organs continue to strengthen international law enforcement cooperation, and further promote the crackdown on telecommunication network fraud crimes, which has accumulated successful experience and provided useful reference for the fight against telecommunications network fraud crimes around the world.

  The Party and government of our country attach great importance to the work of anti-telecommunication and cyber-fraud crimes, adhere to the people-centered approach, and attach equal importance to both combat and governance. They have established a set of efficient work systems involving multiple departments, and have specially formulated and promulgated the Anti-telecom Network Fraud Law to combat and curb them. Telecom and network fraud activities provide strong legal protection.

  In view of the characteristics of such crimes, the public security organs have conducted special research, formed special teams, carried out special projects, used professional technology, strengthened internal and external forces, and deployed a series of special actions, which effectively curbed the frequent occurrence of such crimes and recovered a large number of The economic loss has been fully affirmed by the masses and generally praised by the international community.

During international cooperation and exchanges, police from many countries expressed the hope that our public security organs would share their experience and practices in combating governance.

  Telecom and network fraud is a typical transnational organized crime. Fraud dens are often located in other countries and regions, targeting citizens of victim countries.

To this end, through international law enforcement cooperation, the public security organs have jointly launched crackdown operations with police from many countries, and have achieved very obvious results.

The "Great Wall Operation" jointly launched with the Spanish police in 2019 has become a model of transnational law enforcement cooperation.

From March to June this year, under the framework of Interpol, our public security organs and the police of 76 member states participated in the anti-fraud "Dawn Operation", destroying 1,770 fraud dens in many countries and arresting more than 2,000 criminal suspects , intercepted more than 50 million US dollars in illegal funds.

  In response to the situation of Chinese people engaged in fraudulent activities abroad, especially the fact that most of these people are tempted by high salaries, deceived and coerced to smuggle out of the country, and many people have been kidnapped, detained, beaten and abused in criminal dens, and even maimed to death, the public security organs actively cooperated with them. Relevant departments have carried out rescue, education and persuasion for them through international law enforcement cooperation, and have made every effort to provide assistance and job placement after they return to China.

In accordance with the clear provisions of the Exit and Entry Administration Law, the immigration management department shall take measures such as restricting the exit of persons engaged in telecommunication and network fraud activities in accordance with the law.

  The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Public Security said that with the rapid development of global informatization, the crime of telecommunication and network fraud is showing the characteristics of specialization, industrialization, grouping and internationalization. .

It is the common responsibility of the police of all countries to cooperate in combating the crime of transnational telecommunication and network fraud, and it is also the broad consensus of the international community.

The public security organs will conscientiously implement the Anti-Telecommunications Network Fraud Law, further strengthen international law enforcement cooperation, and severely crack down on telecommunications and network fraud crimes, so as not to allow such crimes to spread and develop, and never allow fraudsters to go unpunished.
