In the mid-autumn season, Wulan County, Qinghai Province, located in the hinterland of China's "cornucopia" Qaidam Basin, ushered in the ripe and bumper harvest season of quinoa, which is full of beautiful purple and red.

Quinoa is native to the Andes Mountains of South America. It is a plateau crop that likes cool climates, fears cloudy and rainy weather, is drought-tolerant, and is salt-tolerant.

Qinghai Qaidam Basin is about 3,000 meters above sea level, and has long sunshine hours, large temperature difference between day and night, suitable temperature, low precipitation, pure and pollution-free land water, and its geographical conditions are very similar to those of the origin.

In 2013, Qinghai successfully introduced Limai in the Qaidam Basin, and has now become the region with the best development of the quinoa industry in China.

Looking around, the mature wheat ears of quinoa show colorful colors such as fiery red, golden yellow, purple red, etc. The wheat field is like a natural oil painting, which is very beautiful.
