  On September 6, the Sichuan Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment sent three working groups to Ganzi Prefecture, Ya'an City, and Leshan City to carry out on-site guidance on earthquake environmental emergency, and supervised the investigation and rectification of environmental risks in various places.

  On the 7th, the working group further extended the scope of investigation to Hanyuan County.

The working group visited Jintai Mining in Hanyuan County to investigate the situation of production facilities and key areas affected by the earthquake, such as the high-level pool of the washing plant, the tailings pond culvert and the flood intercepting ditch; The stability of the dam body and slope in the landfill area was checked, and the on-site monitoring of the leachate adjustment tank, collection tank and effluent was conducted on-site; on-site inspection and sampling were carried out at Yongding Bridge, a centralized drinking water source in Hanyuan County; Wanli Industrial Park, Hanyuan County, on-site inspection of Hanyuan Sihuan Zinc and Germanium Technology Co., Ltd. (third branch), Sichuan Zhengxiang Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., Hanyuan Sihuan Zinc and Germanium Comprehensive Recovery Plant, and Hanyuan County Yuanfu Zinc Industry Co., Ltd. The safe operation of the production facilities and pollution prevention and control equipment of the company and other related enterprises involving heavy metals and hazardous wastes.

  After on-site investigation, the working group has not found any secondary environmental safety problems of earthquakes at the above points.
