China News Service, Guiyang, September 8 (Wang Chao) Since the current round of the new crown pneumonia epidemic in Guiyang, the Guizhou Zhuaijiajiajia team has issued an initiative among the lost children: actively participate in volunteer activities and help the community to carry out the epidemic prevention and control work.

The initiative has received a positive response from those who have lost their only child.

More than a dozen family members who lost their only child joined the volunteer team and participated in the community fight against the epidemic.

  The only-child group refers to parents who have lost their only child. Most of them are over 50 years old, and it is difficult for them to raise children again.

Since its establishment, the team has sent warmth to the lost children in Guizhou through various means such as publicity, festival activities, visits and condolences.

  Family members who have lost their only child who participated in volunteer services in their respective communities to fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the youngest is 52 years old and the oldest is over 70 years old. They may participate in the registration of medical materials, or help maintain order, or answer public questions, or be medical staff. Meal delivery has made a contribution to the best of our ability in the community's fight against the new crown pneumonia epidemic.

  Zheng Yirong, an elderly man who lost his only child, had just completed colon cancer surgery and was still recovering. Seeing that the community staff and volunteers were busy fighting against the new crown pneumonia epidemic, Zheng Yirong and his wife, who were living in poverty, bought milk for the community staff and volunteers.   Ling Li, who lives on Xingguan Road, Nanming District, Guiyang City, made steamed buns and cabbage and tofu soup by herself after learning that the community epidemic prevention and control staff were inconvenient to eat, and delivered them to the community epidemic prevention and control site.
