[Explanation] At 12:52 on September 5th, an earthquake of magnitude 6.8 occurred in Luding, Ganzi, Sichuan. As of 8:00 on September 8, the earthquake had killed 82 people, including 46 people in Luding County, Ganzi Prefecture, and Ya'an City. Thirty-six people were killed in Shimian County. The earthquake also caused 35 people to lose contact and more than 270 people were injured, including 4 people who were seriously injured and 62 people were seriously injured.

So far, more than 48 hours have passed since the earthquake, and the rescue is still going on.

In the early morning of September 7, a reporter from China News Agency met firefighters from the Ganzi Prefecture Forest Fire Brigade in Moxi Town, Luding County, the epicenter of the epicenter. The village of Mogangling, known as the "Zhai".

This Yi village is separated from Moxi Town by a large mountain. It was originally only a 10-minute drive from the town, but more than ten mountain collapses completely interrupted the road and became an "isolated island".

The rescuers had to take a detour to the town of Detuo, which is more than ten kilometers away, and led by local villager Luo Gang along a path that had been abandoned for many years.

  Collapsing ahead is more dangerous.

So I took the method to walk into another stockade from this side (go around), and come up to Murakami from this side.

Because it is safer, it is also beneficial to everyone.

The distance is slightly farther than this (that road).

It's a little more difficult for people to come up this way.

It is safer to go up from this side than from this side, the way we originally came up.

[Explanation] Luo Gang, 35, grew up in the mountains since he was a child. He bluntly said that this road has been abandoned for more than 20 years.

At 10:00 on the same day, reporters from China News Agency followed the firefighters from the foot of the mountain.

The mountain road is steep, hidden in the dense forest, and the vegetation is lush, but the traces of people walking are only vaguely visible, and the steepest section has to use both hands and feet.

After walking for ten minutes, the reporter was sweating profusely and his heart rate soared.

But for forest firefighters carrying disaster relief tents and supplies weighing up to 120 pounds, the journey was even more difficult.

The rope was deeply draped over his shoulders, and he could only be replaced every once in a while.

On the way to Mogangling Village, some villagers spontaneously came to respond with mules and motorcycles, in order to reduce the burden on forest firefighters.

Around 12:30, 28 tents and living materials finally arrived at the resettlement site in Mogangling Village.

Without taking a break, the forest firefighters started to set up disaster relief tents after unloading the supplies.

Peng Jianbo, a 24-year-old member of the Kangding Squadron of the Forest Fire Detachment of Ganzi Prefecture, was busy at the scene, unfolding tarpaulins and building shelves... Peng Jianbo, who lives in Yanzigou nearby, has been with the team immediately after the earthquake. He hopes to do more for the Hometown earthquake relief efforts.

Wherever there is a need for help, I want to do it, and I can do something for my hometown.

I feel that the brothers have also "zha" (supported) my hometown these days.

Feeling special thanks to them.

[Explanation] It only took half an hour to complete the construction of the temporary earthquake-resistant camp.

Cooking rice and boiling water, the villagers are also gradually busy.

It is understood that there are currently more than 70 villagers trapped here, mostly the elderly and children.

Before the rescue force arrived, the trapped villagers gathered at the resettlement site to build simple sheds.

After arriving at the resettlement site, the remaining supplies at home became the most concerned thing for the villagers.

The first part is to transport the relief materials and 28 (disaster relief) tents from the bottom of the mountain to the village.

Then the second part is to set up the tent.

After the construction is completed, we will rescue the valuables of the villagers according to the needs of the local villagers and the arrangement of the village branch.

That's about it for today's tasks.

[Explanation] After helping the villagers to rescue the supplies at home, the firefighters ushered in a rare rest.

For two consecutive days of emergency rescue, over the mountains and mountains, many firefighters have died.

But the rescue waited for no one. At around 16:00 that day, the firefighters returned by the same way.

Although the weight was reduced, they still did not dare to relax when they looked at the shocking collapsed mountain in the distance.
