To improve air quality in city centres, cities have decided for several years to reduce the presence of cars and other vehicles emitting greenhouse gases.

And to achieve this, for the past few years they have had an infallible weapon to achieve this: the Crit'Air sticker combined with the low emission zone (ZFE).

A device that allows the most polluting vehicles to be excluded from a delimited area.

Some cities have already excluded certain vans or heavy goods vehicles from hypercentres.

But a boost is given this September 1 in certain major cities.

That day, the metropolis of Aix-Marseille-Provence implemented its first ZFE measure by prohibiting the hypercentre of the Marseille city to all Crit'Air 5 and unclassified vehicles.

In Lyon, Reims or Rouen, where polluting utilities and heavy goods vehicles were already affected by a restriction since January.

This Thursday, it is the turn of the owners of certain cars to be non grata in town, those Crit'Air 5 and unclassified for the capital of Gaul, Crit'Air 4 and more in Reims and Rouen.

As for the Pink City, it is on the professional side that the deal changes,

since Crit'Air 4 certified utilities and heavy goods vehicles will no longer be able to enter the perimeter which covers a large part of the city.

What give sweats to those who do not have the right thumbnail.

Because if there are aids to change its vehicle and that the means of control will be deployed only later, the ZFE is still far from being unanimous.

You are a craftsman and you will no longer be able to go to town with your Crit'Air 4 van?

Do you live in town, but you will no longer be able to drive around with your old clunker?

Would you like to drive in a cleaner car but you cannot afford to invest?

To be in good standing with the ZFE, have you decided to trade your jew's harp for a bike?

Have you ordered an electric vehicle to meet the new standards, but the manufacturers' delivery delays will penalize you?

Too bad, you decided that you would drive your Crit'Air 5 car despite the risk of a fine?

In short, the deployment of traffic bans due to the ZFE in your city on September 1 will have an impact on your daily mobility.
