A-bomb survivors' groups in Hiroshima Prefecture hold an emergency press conference to express their disappointment and anger at the failure to adopt the "final document" at the Review Conference of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), which discusses the direction of global nuclear disarmament. At the same time, he emphasized that, as an atomic bomb survivor, he will continue to advocate the inhumanity of nuclear weapons.

On the final day of the NPT (Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty) Review Conference, which had been discussing the direction of global nuclear disarmament for four weeks, Russia opposed the wording of the draft of the "Final Document" regarding the situation in Ukraine. It was closed without an agreement.

In response, a group of atomic bomb survivors in the prefecture held an emergency press conference at Hiroshima City Hall on the 29th, saying that they were full of disappointment and anger, and that they would stop Russia's military invasion of Ukraine, and that the nuclear powers should stop. A statement has been issued that calls on the United Nations and the Japanese government to declare that they will not threaten or use nuclear weapons.

At the press conference, Tomoyuki Minomaki, chairman of the Hiroshima Prefectural Council of Atomic Bomb Victims' Organizations, said, "I'm very frustrated, frustrated, and full of anger. I understand the horror of nuclear weapons from the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There should be, but I wonder why it can't be adopted," he criticized severely.

In addition, Kunihiko Sakuma, president of another Hiroshima Prefectural Hidankyo, who visited the site in conjunction with the review conference, said, "What is important is what to do as an A-bomb survivor in Hiroshima in response to the rupture, and spread the terror of nuclear weapons. I keenly felt that we must continue to do so. Hiroshima has a great role to play."
