Participation in the unique auctions during the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2022, for camels, falcons and horses, is a valuable opportunity to get acquainted closely with some of the most important pillars of Emirati and Arab heritage and authentic traditions, within the framework of the activities of the largest event of its kind in the Middle East and Africa, which is organized by Emirates Falconers Club from 26 September to 2 October.

The exhibition is characterized by high purchasing power and great sales to exhibitors in the 11 sectors and to auctioneers, in addition to its important role in promoting and preserving cultural heritage.

Arabian camel auction

The Advanced Scientific Group continues to participate in the exhibition this year, displaying a range of advanced scientific technologies, products and innovations, as well as organizing an interesting camel auction, as a distinctive event through which young male and female camels of the best breeds, which have the ability to become a strong competitor in races, are presented. Camel, where bidders from camel owners from all over the world compete to acquire it.

Arab camel races are very popular in the UAE because of their revival of the original heritage, excitement and suspense, and it is considered one of the hobbies and sports inherited since ancient times.

It is noteworthy that the first official camel auction organized by the group was within the 2005 edition of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, and since then the group has been organizing auctions annually within and outside the exhibition.

All the camels participating in these auctions are produced by the "Advanced Scientific Group", by implanting embryos of strong and documented breeds, including the Jabbar, Tayyari and Shaheen strains.

What distinguishes each camel from the other is the origin and results of the father and mother, meaning that the roots of the father and mother are known and known, as well as their achievements in the fields of racing, which mainly determines their price.

The beginning of the group’s production was in 1990, under the directives of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God rest his soul. Since then, these breeds have been largely preserved from extinction, and the distinguished breeds that have achieved great results in camel racing, where the group produces annually. Approximately 250 head of camels.

The group provides buyers and owners of the camels it produces with an official document, which is a camel identity document on which all the data of the father and mother are recorded, informing the owner when he wants to sell or transfer ownership to another person. The group keeps a copy of this data in its records to certify the owner’s document.

Since 1993, the group has tended to document all births and install electronic chips in its body that store all the information on each newborn, the date of birth and the origins of the father and mother, after which the births are displayed in the races and followed up, until the idea of ​​auctions came in 2005, and developed year after year.

This year, the exhibition also launches a distinctive version of the competitive falcon auction, one of the most attractive events for the public. The exhibition management invited all owners of falcon farms and falcon breeding centers in families and workers in their trade in various countries of the world, to participate by presenting the best and finest production in (Abu Dhabi 2022). .

The auction aims to support and encourage the production of the finest captive-bred falcons, and to enhance the role of the Abu Dhabi Hunting Exhibition in the industry of falcon farms and sustainable hunting.

All visitors can participate and bid to obtain falcons that have been bred in captivity, able to prove their high ability to hunt and their excellence in major tournaments, as the auction and exhibition date coincides with the start of the hunting season on the one hand, and the start of the falconry championships season on the other hand.

The auction of falcons in the (Abu Dhabi 2022) cycle includes seven different categories for local and international productions, which are: Free Pure, Pure Gear Pure, Pure Garmousha, Shaheen, Gear Shaheen, Gear Tabaa, Gear and Cree.

The Falcon Auction also seeks to highlight the leading scientific role of the UAE in researching bird breeding, preserving wild birds, encouraging the production of falcons of high specifications at reasonable prices for falconers, providing an opportunity for all nationalities to acquire high-quality falcons and distinguished performance in hunting and competition, and encouraging entrepreneurs to invest. In the field of breeding falcons in captivity.

Arabian horse auction

For its part, the Emirates Arabian Horse Association participates in the Abu Dhabi Hunting Exhibition annually, as it is a major and active partner in the activities of this important sector, and its participation this year, in cooperation with the Emirates Falconers Club, includes organizing the “Auction of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2022 for Arabian Horses - Speed ​​Races”, About 20 to 30 horses will be displayed for bidding by Arab horse breeders and owners who are interested in owning elite flat race horses.

Horses have played an important role throughout human history all over the world, and equestrian is one of the oldest and most beautiful sports known to man, and it is an essential and pivotal sector since the establishment of the Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition in 2003, which represents a translation of efforts to preserve heritage sports and ancient traditions, and to introduce the peoples of the world to the importance of Purebred Arabian horses.

During the exhibition, the Emirates Arabian Horse Association organizes several educational lectures on the equestrian sector platform, on the association's registration services, the feeding system for mares, the conditions for registering Arabian horses, and the characteristics of desert Arabian horses.
