On the afternoon of the 28th, in a house in Shichigahama Town, Miyagi Prefecture, an elderly sibling living in this house was found dead, and the 49-year-old wife of the deceased brother was also bleeding from the neck and fell down. He was taken to hospital but died.
The police are investigating in detail, considering that there is a possibility of unreasonable suicide based on the situation at the scene.
Around 1:00 pm on the 28th, a relative called 110 at a house in Matsugahama, Shichigahama-cho, saying that "a family member has collapsed."
When the police and fire brigade rushed to the scene, they found Minoru Atsumi (73) dead in the bedroom on the first floor and his younger brother Katsu (70) dead in the living room.
Police say they both had strangulation marks on their necks.
Also in the bathroom, Katsu's wife, Ichieda (49), was bleeding from her neck and hands and fell unconscious and was taken to the hospital, but she was confirmed dead shortly after.
The three are living together in this house, and the police are investigating the detailed situation, considering the possibility of a forced suicide based on the situation at the scene.
