Forecasters have warned of a sharp change in the weather in Moscow next week.

In an interview with RT, the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, Roman Vilfand, said that August 29 would be the last hot day when the temperature would be at + 28 ... + 30 ° C.

“This is due to the fact that the outgoing anticyclone will still have an impact.

In addition, tomorrow the direction of the wind will change, the wind will come not only from the southeast, but also from the south.

Therefore, hot air masses will cause warm weather.

Monday night will also be very warm — +17…+19 °C, and in the center of Moscow — +21…+23 °C.

This is a southern night, and nothing more,” said the weatherman.

Vilfand noted that on Tuesday, August 30, the anticyclone, which determined the heat in the center of the European part of Russia, will slowly begin to retreat to the east.

This process will be accompanied by a decrease in pressure immediately by 6-7 mm Hg.

Art.

According to the forecaster, on Tuesday the air will come from the west, the temperature will drop by a few more degrees.

“+25…+27 °C is predicted.

The air will be clean, and there will be no consequences of fires that Muscovites used to feel.

On Wednesday, the wind will be northwest, the maximum temperature will be +20…+24 °C.

The temperature will drop, but it will still be about 3-4 degrees above the norm, ”added Vilfand.

A sharp change in the temperature regime, according to the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, will occur on Thursday, September 1.

“On September 1, the temperature regime will be more consistent with the fourth five-day period of September.

That means it gets colder.

The pressure will be low, the weather will be cloudy with intermittent rain, and the wind will be northerly.

At night, the temperature values will also be autumnal - +6…+10 °C.

And the daytime temperature will stay in the range of about +15 ° C, ”concluded the interlocutor of RT.

In turn, Anatoly Tsygankov, Deputy Head of the Situation Center of Roshydromet, compared the onset of September with the temperature transition that was observed in May and June 2022.

“If you remember, this year we had a cold, cold May and exactly on the first of June it got warmer and summer began right from the first day.

The same thing is happening now according to the calendar with autumn, the cold snap is “turning on”, and we are entering the autumn mode, ”the forecaster said.

According to him, the current warm weather was due to the warming effect of air masses from the south and the Middle East.

They will be replaced by a cyclone, Tsygankov notes.

“There is high pressure throughout the European part.

This high pressure goes to Kazakhstan, and a cyclone from the north will come in its place.

And in front of the cyclone there is a stream of cold air from Arkhangelsk and from the Barents Sea.

Even today, a change in the air is already being felt, ”the forecaster said.

Smoke from forest fires in the Ryazan region

Since mid-August, haze has been observed in Moscow caused by forest fires in the Ryazan region.

On August 28, the government of the Russian Federation announced that the spread of fire had been stopped.

“It was noted that the fires remain localized, their spread has been stopped.

At the same time, the situation with smoke is the most acute at the moment, ”the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said after a meeting of the government commission on localization and elimination of forest fires.

It is clarified that the problem of smoke is due to the fact that smoldering occurs mainly in swampy areas.

“The coordinated forces of federal and regional bodies involved in the elimination of forest fires in the region have been tasked with pouring water on the centers of smoke,” the report says.

It is also emphasized that settlements that are at risk are safe.

They are under constant surveillance.
