  During the summer vacation, students spend more online entertainment time at home, and there is also an increasing trend of telecommunication and network fraud against minors.

The Anti-Fraud Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China has monitored and found a number of telecommunication and network fraud incidents targeting minors.

Another media reported that a 14-year-old student in Suining City, Sichuan Province joined the "fan group" for "receiving welfare" and was defrauded of nearly 180,000 yuan.

  At present, telecommunications and network frauds still occur frequently, and some criminals not only extend their "poisonous hands" to middle-aged and elderly people, but also to minors.

Using the psychological characteristics of minors like online games and star chasing, they induce children to recharge and transfer money under the guise of "lifting the game anti-addiction restrictions" and "inventing star welfare".

These fraudulent acts not only cause economic losses to many families, but also seriously affect the healthy growth of minors.

The reason why such acts have succeeded so often is not only that the fraud itself is highly confusing, but also has a lot to do with the inadequate implementation of the relevant responsibilities of some online platforms.

  Judging from media reports, the real-name authentication system of some platforms is not yet perfect, so that minors can easily break through various management restrictions when they go online, and also allow fraudsters to register a large number of accounts to publish fraudulent information; some platforms do not review information release. Yan, so that fraudsters have an opportunity;

  Some platforms do not make distinctions when recommending information to minors, resulting in mixed information received by minors.

These loopholes have caused minors to fall into the trap of scammers to a certain extent.

  In order to effectively protect the online rights and interests of minors, the newly revised Minor Protection Law has added a special chapter on "Internet Protection", which clearly requires that online games and other platforms should set time and consumption management functions for minors, and stop them in time. Transmission of information that endangers the physical and mental health of minors.

However, from a practical point of view, some platforms have not implemented the legal requirements.

Relevant departments made it clear in the recent "clean and bright" action that the website platform should further improve and promote the youth model, which should also become the focus of the next work of each platform.

  The clarity of cyberspace is crucial to the healthy growth of minors.

To keep minors away from telecommunication network fraud, it is necessary to consolidate the main responsibility of the platform and build a "firewall" for minors to prevent fraud.

The regulatory authorities should take the responsibility of the platform as the starting point, urge all online platforms to earnestly fulfill their legal obligations, improve the real-name authentication mechanism for accounts, strengthen information auditing, etc., to prevent minors from being harassed by bad information, and to support a clear Internet sky for minors.
