Forests [4/5]: the spruce bark beetle epidemic is spreading

For four years, the bark beetle epidemic has affected the forests of the northern half of France: Grand-Est, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, Normandy, Hauts-de-France regions.

But also the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

This bark beetle epidemic is worsening under the effects of global warming.

Report in the state forest of Mouterhouse, in the Northern Vosges.

It is in this region that the bark beetle proliferation began.
