"Abu Dhabi Arabic Language" closes the door for candidacy for "The Treasure of the Generation"

The Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language announced the closing of the nomination door for the first round of the "Treasure of the Generation" award, which it organizes with the aim of honoring Nabati poetic works, folkloric studies, and research granted to scholars and creators who submitted works that dealt with the heritage related to Nabati poetry and its original values.

The award committee received 234 submissions in all six branches of the award, where the “Studies and Research” branch received 37% of the total works participating in the award, which is the highest percentage in all branches, and the “Poetic Publications” branch received 23%, and “Poetic Matching” 19%, “Arts” 10%, “Translation” 4%, and “Creative Personality” 6%. The participants came from 20 countries from around the world, 15 of them Arab.

The President of the Abu Dhabi Center for the Arabic Language, Dr. Ali bin Tamim, confirmed that the “Generation Treasure Award” succeeded in its first session in shedding light on the creators of Nabati poetry, and in discovering their works in this original art, which constitutes the mirror of peoples and the mouthpiece of their culture and aspirations. The strategic objectives of the Center are to support and embrace talents in one of the most important fields of literary arts, which is poetry, and through an award that carries exceptional value because it is linked to the name and works of the founding father of the UAE, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace.

The Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Award, Issa Saif Al Mazrouei, said: “The (Kinz Al-Jeel) Award, in its first session, emphasized the depth of regional and global interest in the art of poetry in general, and Nabati poetry in particular, which expresses the customs and traditions of societies and their authentic legacies.

The award committee received a large number of participations from different countries of the world, which reflects the abundance of talented and creative people in the field of Nabati poetry, its research and studies in all societies.

The value of the "Generation Treasure" award is 200,000 dirhams for each branch, with the exception of the "Creative Personality" branch, which has a prize value of half a million dirhams.
