The woman found dead in a car in Ingolstadt a week ago is a 23-year-old from the Heilbronn district.
This resulted in a DNA comparison, said the police headquarters in Ingolstadt on Monday.
The police in Ingolstadt and Heilbronn are now investigating the area surrounding the victim from Algeria and the two arrested suspects – a 23-year-old German-Iraqi woman and a 23-year-old Kosovar.
The alleged perpetrator looks deceptively similar to the dead person.
Since the victim was found in the alleged perpetrator's car, it was initially assumed that the dead person was the suspect.
The police are now looking for witnesses who could make suspicious observations in this connection in the Heilbronn/Eppingen area on Tuesday, August 16, or who could provide evidence of a dark-colored car with Ingolstadt license plates.
