She added - in her speech to an episode of "Beyond the News" program (2022/8/19) - that the Iranian response to the European draft stressed the need to lift sanctions on Iranian financial institutions before signing any agreement as a goodwill gesture, in addition to the file of the relationship with the agency. The International Atomic Energy Agency, and the regional influence of Iran.

And she added that Iran wants to remove the name of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard from the list of terrorism, and to remove embarrassment from the entities that deal with it, especially since it is active in the field of energy, and to neutralize the discussion on this issue until after the signing of the agreement, and this is something Washington rejects.

Iran has also set a condition, which is to prevent America from withdrawing from the agreement under any justification.

Informed sources had revealed to Al Jazeera that the European draft to return to the nuclear agreement with Iran includes the gradual lifting of economic sanctions on Tehran, releasing part of its frozen funds, and allowing it to export oil in exchange for its retreat from its nuclear steps, while Russia expressed hope to revive the agreement during the next few days.

For his part, Ali Vaez, director of the Iran Project at the International Crisis Group, said that the leaked information about Iran's response to the European draft of the nuclear agreement with Iran is inaccurate, stressing that Washington will not accept Iranian amendments to the text of the agreement that the Europeans sent to Tehran.

He added that the delay in the American response was due to Washington's study of the Iranian response, which completely changed the European formulation, although the Europeans' proposal to Tehran was either the full acceptance of the agreement or its rejection as it came without changes.

The Israeli response

Dr. Fatima Al-Smadi confirmed that Iran is fully convinced that the failure to reach an agreement will be due to the Israeli influence on the White House, because Tel Aviv wants to get rid of the Iranian nuclear program, not curb it, and also seeks to destroy it through US military action.

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid had conveyed a message to the White House, in which he stressed that the draft EU agreement being discussed with Iran exceeds the limits of the 2015 nuclear agreement, and does not meet the red lines of the administration of US President Joe Biden.

Lapid added that the latest IAEA report stated that Iran does not provide credible explanations regarding investigations related to uranium particles located at several undisclosed locations in the country.

In turn, Ali Vaez said that Israel's attempt to exploit the gap between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency is a source of concern to Tehran, and it is seeking to set a timetable for this in order to preserve the gains of the nuclear agreement if it is signed.
