Kagawa Prefecture announced on the 20th that 2,327 new people were confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
It is the fourth day in a row that the number of infected people has exceeded 2,000.
It was also announced that a man over 90 who had been infected and was being treated died.
On the other hand, the prefecture withdrew the two people announced on the 18th and the three people announced on the 19th because there were duplicates.
A total of 103,384 people have been confirmed to be infected in Kagawa Prefecture so far, and 210 people have died.
