For George RR Martin, the series adaptation of

The Sandman

is a real success, in addition to being very faithful to the graphic novel by Neil Gaiman, the latter having also actively participated in the project.

As such, the father of the

Iron Throne

saga had the chance to preview the series a while ago, the comic book creator having had the delicacy to send him a copy.

But now that

The Sandman

is available on Netflix, George RR Martin can say all the good things he thinks about it!

George RR Martin awaits the sequel

“If you liked the comics, well know that it is a very faithful adaptation.

Neil made sure of that.

And if you've never read the comics, don't worry, you don't have to because the show stands on its own,” George RR Martin wrote on his blog.

“It's a fabulous fantasy (work) and I hope it will continue for many more seasons.

After all, there are plenty of other comic book chapters to adapt.
