15 people died in a traffic accident in south-east Turkey.

22 other people were injured in the accident, in which a bus, a fire engine and an ambulance were involved, said the governor of the province of Gaziantep, Davut Gul, on Saturday in the short message service Twitter.

The accident happened between Gaziantep and Nizip in Southeastern Anatolia.

According to the Turkish news agency DHA, an ambulance, a fire engine and a vehicle belonging to a journalist team, all of which were traveling to the scene of the accident, were hit by the bus head-on.

According to the governor, three firefighters, two paramedics and two journalists are among the 15 dead.

Images released by the DHA news agency showed the rear of an ambulance partially torn open and numerous vehicle wreckage.
