Aomori Prefecture announced that 2,342 new people were infected with the new coronavirus and 6 died.
Aomori Prefecture withdrew a total of two people who had been confirmed to be infected so far because they were negative, bringing the total number of people confirmed to be infected in Aomori Prefecture to 121,740.
Six deaths were also announced, bringing the death toll to 173.
