Projects aimed at integrating the Donbass and the liberated territories into a single cultural, educational, educational and civilizational space will receive support from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives (PFKI) within the framework of a special competition for grants.

Applications began on Friday, August 19, and will last until September 12.

During a webinar dedicated to the launch of the bidding company, Roman Karmanov, General Director of the fund, said that an additional 1 billion rubles were allocated for the special competition.

“The purpose of the series of special selections is to support creative teams right now, and not in the distant future.

For the first three competitions, we saw a great response from creative teams, in a short time they proposed a lot of projects ready for implementation,” Karmanov emphasized.

The declared goal of the competition is to spread and preserve the all-Russian cultural identity, counteract the phenomenon of "cancellation of culture", support cultural groups and figures "who have become objects of sanctions pressure for their patriotism and devotion to the country."

In addition, the initiative aims to strengthen traditional Russian spiritual and moral values and support projects in the field of culture, art and creative industries, including in the Donbass and in the territories liberated during the special operation in Ukraine.

Since the creation of the fund on May 17, 2021, two main and three special competitions have been held, as a result of which more than 3,000 projects received grant support totaling over 8 billion rubles.

The total funding in the framework of previous special competitions amounted to 991 million rubles - 172 projects were selected from 50 regions of Russia, which are already underway.

According to Karmanov, the difference between the special competition and the main one lies in the tight deadlines and thematic areas.

So, the fourth special selection will consist of six blocks: “We are proud”, “We do not abandon our own”, “New opportunities”, “Heroes of Donbass are Heroes of Russia”, “We are together” and “Cultural code” (the latter is also in the main competition ).

Submitted cultural, educational and creative projects must comply with the goals and objectives of the competition.

“The competition is quite high, the application campaign will last only three weeks, we are waiting for projects from all regions of our country,” said Karmanov.

For example, educational and other projects aimed at popularizing cultural figures, educators, scientists, sportsmen, people from Donbass and the liberated territories, who have made a significant contribution to Russian and world culture, can be submitted to the “Proud” section.

In the category “We do not leave our own” - projects that highlight the role of Russia as a defender of the interests and rights of compatriots in the Donbass and in the liberated territories.

The winners of the special competition will be announced no later than October 31, 2022, and the project implementation period should not exceed 16 months (until the end of 2023).

Grant applications can be submitted by non-profit and commercial organizations, individual entrepreneurs, as well as non-state municipal institutions.

Government agencies, foreign organizations, legal entities and individual entrepreneurs that have ceased their activities will not be able to count on the support of the fund.

Participants can learn more about the competition regulations, the criteria table and apply for a grant on the organization's web portal.

The total grant resource of the PFCI for the period up to 2024 is 32.5 billion rubles.

The tasks of the presidential fund include comprehensive support for projects in the field of culture, art and creative industries in 14 areas.

The winners of past special competitions were the XXXI International Film Forum "Golden Knight", the multimedia performance-immersion "Peter I", the II All-Russian competition and festival of ethnic video content "WE", the projects "Children of Donbass" and "Young Actors for the Children of Donbass", the multimedia exhibition project " NATO.
