The concept of degrowth is frightening, but it is to misunderstand what it implies.
It's about stepping on the brakes.
The quest for infinite growth on a planet with limited resources is a myth that is now showing its limits: climate change, disappearance of biodiversity, increase in inequalities... Another social project is needed.
Vincent Liegey is an engineer, he coordinates in Budapest Cargonomia, a Center for research and experimentation on degrowth.
