This initiative was started by Ichikawa City's agricultural cooperative to support producers who were severely damaged by the hail of June this year, such as pears, which are a specialty product.



On the 19th, a special sales corner was set up at JR Nishi-Funabashi Station.



Pears are known for their sweetness and freshness, and they are said to have been named “Atarashi” as auspicious because they were hit by a hailstone.

One bag contains 5 to 6 pieces and is relatively cheap at 1,000 yen, so visitors were buying one after another.



A woman in her 80s who bought it said, "I bought it because I wanted to support people. It's cheap at 1,000 yen, and I'm looking forward to eating it."



Hiroyuki Konno, the chairman of JA Ichikawa, said, "Although it is damaged, it is a pear that was carefully grown by a farmer. We are confident in its taste, so please try it."



Sales at JR Nishi-Funabashi Station will be held until the 21st.
