  I took photos (yes) after I moved into this community in 2008, and (residents of our community) asked the government to renovate it. At that time, I started to take photos of the situation in Xinxili Community before 2008.

  [Explanation] According to Qin Ruiying's recollection, the Xinxili Community used to be an old and dirty community. Before 2008, the environment of the community was a mess.

  It turns out that the situation in this community is that there is garbage everywhere, that is, garbage everywhere, sewage overflowing, rainwater flowing into rivers, vegetable gardens one after another, random piles and illegal buildings everywhere. It is a problem community in the harbor area.

  [Explanation] Since 2008, the local government has begun to renovate the old community, and the renovated Xinxili community has a new look.

Seeing the new changes in the community almost every day, Qin Ruiying came up with the idea of ​​using photos to record the changes of the community.

She bought a camera, taught herself how to take pictures, and took the film to develop after taking the first pictures.

Later, with a smartphone with full camera functions, she began to learn to take pictures with her mobile phone and record the big events and small things that happened in the community with each photo.

  It turns out that our places are all vegetable fields. Since the government has renovated and set aside green belts, volunteers have turned this vegetable field into a beautiful rose garden.

It turned out that this place was dirty. (Some people were here) raising chickens, ducks, and rabbits. After the renovation, this place became a favorite activity place for the elderly and children.

  [Commentary] Qin Ruiying organizes the photos into albums according to different years, and also carefully adds text descriptions to the photos. There are 1147 photos in 6 albums.

She keeps these 6 photo albums in the cabinet, and opens them in her spare time to look at the changes in the community over the past 14 years.

Qin Ruiying said that she will continue to shoot in the future. This is not only to record the changes in the community, but also to record the happy life of people and a history of urban development.
