It is noted that once a major computer manufacturer drew attention to the fact that when playing the video clip of Janet Jackson Rhythm Nation, some laptop models fail.

At the same time, there were situations when even laptops broke down, which did not directly play the song, but were simply next to the computer playing the song.

The specialists managed to find out that there were sound frequencies in the track that could resonate with hard drives operating at a frequency of 5400 rpm, which led to breakdowns of all computers playing the song, as well as those nearby at that time.

It is clarified that the manufacturers solved the problem by adding a filter to the audio pipeline that drowned out the extra frequencies.

Earlier, a member of the Russian hacker group RaHDIt said that household appliances - vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, TVs - can be used for surveillance and listening.
