  According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, as of August 17, civil aviation has carried out a total of 141 missions to transport medical personnel and epidemic prevention materials to Hainan, transporting 18,574 medical personnel and 622.2 tons of materials.

Among them, there were 31 sorties in Sanya with 5,491 medical staff; 109 sorties in Haikou with 12,956 medical staff; and 1 sortie in Boao with 127 medical staff.

A total of 620 temporary flights and commercial flights were guaranteed for stranded passengers, and 90,716 passengers were transferred, including 183 flights in Sanya with 29,263 people and 437 flights in Haikou with 61,453 people.

  According to Liang Nan, director of the Transportation Department of the Civil Aviation Administration, on August 6, the Civil Aviation Administration immediately launched a major transportation guarantee mechanism, dispatched a working group to Hainan, and set up a special front command class with the Civil Aviation Administration of Central and South China to organize various civil aviation support units. Quickly form a joint force to coordinate airline capacity and ground support resources, simplify flight approval procedures, connect with local governments to find out the needs of stranded passengers to leave Qiong, improve flight planning, passenger information push, airline ticket sales, ground transfer, airport check-in security, The coordination efficiency of various links such as destination coordination in other provinces will ensure the air transportation from Hainan Airport to the destination airport.

  At the same time, the Civil Aviation Administration of China requires airlines to do a good job in passenger service and keep the fares stable. All 35 airlines operating Hainan routes took the initiative to issue notices of free ticket refunds and changes at the first time.

  Liang Nan said that at present, the transfer of passengers stranded in Hainan is proceeding in an orderly manner.
