Gunma Prefecture announced on the 17th that 2,417 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture, and four deaths were confirmed.
That's 364 fewer than last Wednesday's 2,781.
On the other hand, the prefecture has withdrawn a total of nine people announced on the 13th and 16th of this month.
The number of confirmed infections in the prefecture reached 172,175, of which 388 died.
