On August 16, the Fuzhou (Lianjiang) Fishing Festival was held at the central fishing port of Tailing Town, Lianjiang County, Fujian Province.

Every year fishermen go to sea to worship Mazu, the purpose is to pray for Mazu's blessing, because Mazu is the protector of the sea, fishermen always pray to Mazu to bless the safety every time they go out to sea, in order to open the sea safely, smooth sailing, and return with a full load.

Xue Yinzhao, the lead singer of the art troupe, told reporters that it was the first time for the members to participate in the fishing festival, hoping to wish the fishermen a safe and full harvest.

In 2021, the total amount of aquatic products in Lianjiang County will be 1.2812 million tons, the processing output of aquatic products will be 435,800 tons, and the processing output value will be 13.023 billion yuan.
