After noon on the 17th, the police received a report that ``a tree has fallen and is blocking the road'' at Sakae 3-chome, Naka-ku, Nagoya, where department stores and restaurants are concentrated.



When the police and others confirmed the scene, a roadside tree about 17 meters high that had been planted on the sidewalk had fallen diagonally on the side of the road.



The roadside tree fell to block two of the three-lane roads, and according to the police, it hit a nearby passenger car, but no one was injured.

According to the city, the roadside tree was a zelkova planted about 35 years ago, and the base of the trunk was rotten and weakened, and it is possible that it fell down due to the wind.



The site was in an area where department stores and restaurants are concentrated in the center of Nagoya City.
